ソフトバンクはＮＴＴ東西地域会社の光通信回線「フレッツ光」の販売地域を、７月１日から全国に拡大する。主力のＡＤＳＬ（電話線を使ったデジタル高速通信）事業は通信速度で上回る光回線への切り替えが進み、契約者が減少している。自社ブランドで提供してきた光回線は採算が合わないため、競争相手のＮＴＴの商品を全国規模で代理販売する苦肉の策となる。—
